The Desire of InnerWorth is to create a safe space for individuals to find rest, peace, clarity, and affirmation through a spiritual and psychological lens. While taking a therapeutic based approach, christian spirituality can be integrated depending on the client’s request and needs.
What We're Not
InnerWorth is not created as a space for judgment, sermons, convergence, or evangelism. While we are open to bringing Christianity into the counseling sessions, Christian Counseling is not a place where shame or calling out sin takes place. Christian counseling is where clients are welcomed to be as vulnerable as desired. Honesty is key for any therapeutic relationship, so wherever you are in your walk with God you are welcome here.
We believe that God heals. How He chooses to heal is up to him, whether it is through therapy, medication, prayer, and/or something else entirely.
FOUNDER
Margaret was born and raised in Birmingham, AL. She attended Mississippi State University and received a Bachelors in Psychology. God called Margaret to this field at the early age of 18, but she discovered more of who God is at Legacy School of Discipleship. During this gap year, God came into her life in a real and intimate way outside of religion and culture. She then ventured out to Denver, Colorado to attend Denver Seminary and finished her Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling through Liberty University. She completed her counseling practicum & internship at an Inpatient Unit at Hillcrest Behavioral Hospital and at an outpatient company Pathways Professional Counseling (Nonprofit Christian Organization).
